Six Questions To Ask Your Property Professional
Here are some questions you should ask.
- Does he or she have referrals from recently sold properties in your area? Reputation and honesty is key when dealing with one of your major assets. Do you know, like and trust them? For this, you need to know about them.
- Does he or she have knowledge of your area? There is no excuse for them not knowing your area backwards. They must be specialists in your area and know what roads are gated or boomed off, as well as what times they are open.
- Is there a community association in the area? And what is the director’s mandate? How much does it cost to belong to the community association?
- Does the property professional have good communication skills? What are his/her marketing skills like? Have you met them before, and do they live in the area?
- How available are they – try calling them to check out their response. Are they available after hours and weekends?
- Are they qualified property professionals? Check out their credentials. Make sure they have passed certain exams and have an FFC (Fidelity Fund Certificate)
